Not sure that would work for our President. He seems to be condom free and these ladies insist you wear one. Prostitutes classier than politicians. Shocking...

The youtube video was actually kind of cool. It made wonder... no not in that manner... it made me wonder about the future of these dolls. For example, let's say it becomes possible to cover them with something like an organic skin that could actually repair itself. That would be getting closer to being some sort of animal being. At what point do they become human?

I bet some owners get attached to them and if they got injured or perhaps the magnets in their face changed position nefariously and didn't look the same as before or their personality changed by accident and the settings were lost forever the owners would be very upset.

"Westworld" and "Stepford Wives" comes to mind.

Usually, whatever we think is science fiction now becomes reality later.

Dick Tracy used to be able to communicate through his wristwatch. How long ago was that cartoon written -- 1960s?

I remember hand typing binary computer code from a magazine back in the early 1980s for my Atari computer that would simulate the sound of one piano key. I could see even then that at the pace of computing that someday it would be possible to have musical instruments that could play any sound.

Even in the late 1960s or early 1970s when I first started learning about computers I remember envisioning a small cube about 3" per side that would be able to play music without any moving parts. I didn't know how it would be made, but I understood the concept. It only took about 30 years for it to become reality with the iPod.

It took another 10 years for the first smart phone to hit the market. And that was only in 2007. Now less than 10 years later we have practically the knowledge of the world at our fingertips virtually anywhere.

In "2001 a Space Odyssey" they could communicate by videochat. That film was made in 1968. Now we can do "facetime".

What will sex dolls be like 40 years from now?

1931. I think Tracy got the wrist radio in the 1950s.

You won't be able to distinguish them from a human. I'm basing that on the fact that I'm surrounded by stuff that would have been Sci_Fi when I was a kid and technology is increasing exponentially.

That is not surprising. Two-way radio communications became very important and people must have seen that the communications devices kept getting smaller at a rapid pace. The first two-way radio was said to be used in 1923.
