Game still holds fascination
I was cleaning out so old DVD's with old races back from the early 2000's and came across a complete recording of the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
There was much I had forgotten about the minuta of it, but it still holds up as THE BEST COLLEGE football game I have ever experienced.
Realize that after that disastrous interception that put Oklahoma ahead late in the 4th quarter, it was 4th and 18, with 18 seconds to go when Boise State pulled out that amazing hook and lateral to score a tying goal. The look on the Oklahoma's coaches face was akin to a boxer's who just took a surprise shot to the gut.
Then, if that wasn't enough, that truly innovative and original Statue of Liberty on the 2 point conversion.
As race caller Tom Durkin said of the You/Carson Hollow sprint (the Test)....This is a race (or football game) that DOESN'T DESERVE A LOSER!

I have been to a hoist of sporting events at all levels, never to a college football ball game. Need to put that on a bucket list. There were a lot of future NFL players in that game, none of the star variety. I remember Fusina becoming a star in the USFL.

As an OU alumn, this brings back nightmarish memories. I remember thinking that it would set OU back in recruiting in a big way. And, it did. Kudos to Boise State, though. They had it rolling for a while. Can't stand the turf, though.

Greatest game? Rose Bowl 2006. TEXAS beats USC. Vince Young puts on a show that was legendary

Yes I found that one too...close 2ND.
Odd that none of the big stars of that game did not get very far in the NFL

Vince Young, rookie of the year. Jeff Fisher, Norm Chow did everything they could to undermine his career. Owner made the pick in the draft, they detested it
Reggie Bush. Very good career.
Lot of players on both sides had good nfl careers, but we're talking about college football
