You're in a damned if you do, damned if you don't spot. In that spot, I'm probably 3-betting to a min raise to find out what I'm dealing with as far as the cutoff is concerned. The Ace comes on the flop and a c-bet from you probably chases her. You still only break even in that spot, but you avoid a catastrophe. Still can't fault you for playing the way you did.

That is so brutal. Villain gets a gut shot and you get a shot in the gut.

Table definitely wasn't tight. Lot's of action and chips changing hands.

In order of action the three chip stacks were 75k for player 1st to actC/O).

37k for the 2nd player.(SB)

I was the third to act. My stack was $77k(BB)

Player 1 min raises to 4000

Player 2 shoves all in with his 37k

I have JJ. I shove my 77k.

Sounds like a standard tournament spot and it happens the way it did most of the time. Why? because c/o opening range should be fairly wide at those stacks. Many pros open c/o when folded to at that depth w top 20% starters. It's a raise, but fold to a 3 bet spot for them. They do it purely to accumulate. Google top 20% range to see just how wide that really is. SB had a stack to either 3bs or fold w so that range could dip quite a bit below that premium holding of AK as well. All 3 of you were in there with top 3% hands. You did nothing wrong gii w JJ. It's just a cooler.

Thanks Cliche.

Question: Do you know if the tables in the WSOP main event are 9 or 10 handed?
