The left believes that if you don't like the message, the right thing to do is "Shut It Down." So I guess they did just that. Bravo to them for limiting free speech.

Byrd renounced the KKK. What's stopping you, and the others defending the Nazi's here?
I n 1952, he announced "After about a year, I became disinterested, quit paying my dues, and dropped my membership in the organization. During the nine years that have followed, I have never been interested in the Klan." He said he had joined the Klan because he felt it offered excitement and was anti-communist.[11]
Byrd later called joining the KKK "the greatest mistake I ever made."[20] In 1997, he told an interviewer he would encourage young people to become involved in politics but also warned, "Be sure you avoid the Ku Klux Klan. Don't get that albatross around your neck. Once you've made that mistake, you inhibit your operations in the political arena."[21] In his last autobiography, Byrd explained that he was a KKK member because he "was sorely afflicted with tunnel vision—a jejune and immature outlook—seeing only what I wanted to see because I thought the Klan could provide an outlet for my talents and ambitions."[22] Byrd also said in 2005, "I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ... and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."[11]

Defending Nazis...see, this is why people call it FAKE NEWS. Because of this stuff right here.
You think you can say whatever the hell you want and get away with it, right?
So does the MSM. And that's why Trump tweets FAKE NEWS all the time. Because 99% of the time, he's correct.
First off, there ARE NO Nazis anymore. They're all dead (or close to it by now).
The Holocaust Denial is thick around here...dense and thick...like a good vape.

Yolu have tunnel vision.I posded the failure of this NAZI demonstration not to make fun of the right. But this fringe alt-right demonstration. Yes it was named "Unite the Right", and I admit I would get some funny blow back from the more literal minded knee jerk cultists here. But getting idiotic responses DEFENDING them? Real idiotic. (at least they have jobs)
The MSM covered it correctly. You have not

Nobody is defending them.
Joking about them isn't defending them. FYI.
BTW, when are they going to classify ANTIFA as a terrorist organization?
Has the Southern Poverty Law Center done this yet? No? Why not?
Have you seen their symbol. Looks kind of familiar, don't you think?
Bunch of commies...

Sounds like Chumpy setting up a false equivalency after Charlottesville. "Terrorists on both sides"
After the white supremacist terrorism in Charlottesville -- which killed Heather Heyer and injured dozens more -- Donald Trump gave aid and comfort to the racists, neo-Nazis and other members of the fascist movement known as the "alt-right".
How many Nazis died at Charlottesville.?

Who even uses the term alt-right anymore? It was merely a campaign year construction that was a dressed up version of Deplorables. Since it did not stop Trump from winning, there's not much use to it anymore.

I would consider the Alt-Right; statist, economic interventionist, protectionist, anti-immigration, someone strongly influenced by a zero-sum outlook.
In comparison to the TP Movement; Limited government, pro-market, pro-trade, anti-immigration, positive sum outlook.
There are similarities but also stark differences.

Doesn't bother me.
YOU are the one obsessed about it.
I look at your posts as like improv comedy.
No one knows what crap you post day to day, we just have to ready to mock the crap out it on a moments notice.
So far, we are pretty damn good!

How did he do that?
Iam serious. YOU say he did, so tell, how?
Did he just issue statement?
Or did he personally go to some groups and ask for forgiveness for being an inhumane monster and a freaking dangerous moron?
Any idiot can issue a statement.
Racism in not a faux pas. IT is not something you did by mistake.
It is rooted in your very core beliefs. He actually believed Black people were not the equal of whites. He believed they were an inferior race and deserved to be hounded out of the country.
That is pretty bad stuff, hcap.
What was his explanation for his awakening?
Was he born again?
Was there an epiphany?
What did he do to try to spread the enlightenment ot other racists?
Did he use his bully pulpit of public office to attack racists and tell the nation how wrong he was and urge everyone look inside?
I don't know, but you must know.
Since you brought it up.
btw, I see his message didn't get to everyone - Mountaineer Park is still having a race to hone the memory of this vile, despicable racist. Where is the outrage from the left on this one?
6 FURLONGS. (1:07«) STAKES. Purse $75,000 Senator Robert C. Byrd Memorial S. FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. No Nomination Fee. $125 to pass the entry box. $250 additonal to start
