Our speed figures adjust for pace. The Wood featured a very fast pace. Trojan Nation, the runner up, was more a suck up second. The winner is rewarded for the pace exertion. There are times it works the other way when the pace is slow.
As for Lani, we do not adjust for trips. He had a poor break if memory serves so improvement is certainly possible. He better not do that in the Derby though. Is he coming for sure?

Would also point out, in addition to what CJ said, that you can also get final time figs in the PPs.
For the example in the Wood. Outwork and Trojan Nation both earned a 105.
I've highlighted the final time figs, which are under the finish position, in red.
