Meadowlands: 2/22

Race One:

5 HAVEONEFORME was 2nd to a fast-closing Dover Dony two weeks ago. She’s gone “chalk” in her last two. Don’t expect much in return. Short price. Under the category of glass-of-water half-empty. Young, rather inexperienced trotters make me edgy. If she minds her manners… Dexter Dunn. Others: 2/2A; 1/1A; 7

Race Two:

4 IN SECRET has had some “preliminary bouts.” He’s now ready to take on Trolley. That mile at Yonkers was impressive. C’est Le Frelon Vert, Yannick Gingras, Sorel-Tracy du Saint Lawrence, Quebec for the “Steel City’s” Ron Burke and the “Burke Brigade”. Others: 6, 3, 5.

Race Three:
3 TEARFUL OF HAPPY gets both post and class relief. This mare should prevail in this company. A-Mac, “The Thunder from Down Under,” is in the sulky for Vinny Fusco, Jr. Others: 5, 1, 7

Race Four:

6 MAX VOLO gets some serious class relief. It’s “The Wolverine.” Eric Carlson who’s in the bike. Others: 2, 3, 7.

Race Five:

7 CC BIG BOY SAM has been sharp; yet he needs to break loose from his “seconditis”. “The Captain,” Corey Callahan reprises the drive. Others: 3, 10, 8.

Race Six:

1 DEKEYSER draws inside after competing down in Freehold in preferred company. It’s “The Orange Crush,” Andy Miller, in the bike. He should have this horse in a good position to pounce in the stretch. Others: 3, 6, 4

Race Seven:

3 ROCKIN PRALINE. It’s “The Crush” right back. A most solid starting gate-to-wire win in his last. Anything resembling that effort… Others: 1, 4, 8

Race Eight:

1 ZLATAN looked sharp in his last, a 2nd place finish. Any slight improvement… It’s Vinny Ginsburg for “alla famiglia,” Vinny Fusco, Jr. Others: 4, 3, 9.

Race Nine:

1 YOU SHOULD BE HERE gets some serious post relief. It’s the Ann Arbor alumnus, Eric Carlson, in the seat for Bob Bongiorno. Others: 2, 4, 9.

Race Ten:

1 PRESIDENTE ZETTE is another horse that gets post relief. Tyler Buter for Cozette McAvoy. Others: 4, 9, 10.

Race Eleven:

8 AMERICAN RAGE should be out and going when the wings retract. Monsieur Quebecois, Yannick Gingras, is in the bike. Others: 6, 3, 2.

Race Twelve:

8 MONTALBANO BI won his last; he can repeat. It’s Marcus Miller for “Team Harmon”. Others: 6, 5, 2.

Race Thirteen:

9 McCITO is my pick. Yes, the outside post is daunting, but this McArdle-bred can overcome it. A-Nap in the bike for Julius Czermann, Jr. Others: 3, 4, 5.
