Then get Jeff Sessions, Rod Rosenstein, Christopher Wray, and the other criminals in the FBI, CIA, and the other security organizations in a room with Mike Pompeo, Mike Pence, generals Kelly and Mattis and Rudy Giuliani, his remaining allies.
In the presence of each and every one of them, Trump should demand Sessions to fire Rosenstein, etc, and everyone else in Sessions' pervue. Tell him he has 10 seconds to do so.
If Sessions says no, or even waffles one bit, then Trump should immediately fire Sessions and the rest of these anti-American public servants. Pompeo, Pence, Rudy, Mattis and Kelly will be there to make sure there won't be any b-shat and lies told to the friendly Trump hating media.
Trump will then nominate people who actually believe in law and order and the American way of life as Attorney General, FBI director, etc.
Of course Trump will then be threatened with impeachment and be accused of creating a Constitutional crisis. FBI and CIA leaders have committed treason and perjury, and they will say it is Trump who is creating this Constitutional crisis.
Then, every single day, Trump should go in front of the cameras and tell the American people what he did and why. Of course, he will take questions from everyone and ...as usual.. will kick the media's soft arse.
Trump must remind people daily that Sessions lied to him pertaining to Sessions' recusing himself per the Russia hoax.. remind Americans that Rod Rosenstein recommended firing Jim Comey, and then called for a Special Prosecutor to investigate Trump for firing Comey! Trump must also remind people that Comey, Hillary!, and every FBI/CIA agent that used classified information over public servers and cell towers, committed treason.
It won't be easy but this could be done with strength, confidence in the citizenry and belief in our Constitutional government and way of life.
Trump has all of these and believes in all of this; his enemies do not.
This is why he could get this done.
The American people will rally behind Trump because the patriots and citizens know who the villains in this soap opera are, and it isn't Donald Trump.

Several months ago I wrote an email to Trump essentially and substantially saying the same thing you have stated above. I told him that he needs to take his case to the American People directly and learn how to use the bully pulpit a lot more effectively.

" Do it, do it, look at me, do it!!!"
Ironically, those are the same words Bill Clinton used to someone!

I'm waiting for all of you to turn on Horowitz now...
There is very little "new" here.

Never forget that Michael Horowitz is a very honorable and capable man, near brilliant and highly ethical, something that is usually absent with those that studied law at Harvard.
I personally met him just once but there is a professional connection with him to the extent that if I called on him on the cell phone right this minute --unlikely, of course-- he will return the call eventually.
All these platitudes aside, Michael Horowitz was, in fact, appointed by Barack Obama to be the DoJ IG. Also, he is a long-serving member of both the NY and DC bar.
No one I hang with, conservatives mostly, will turn on Horowitz or even think it based on this report. It's always good to know what the score is, regardless of the game played.
But, there is something I am willing to bet that you will never do -- and that is to admit that Horowitz's report is a white wash of all the crimes made by the FBI and the anti-America cabal that resides in our government.

In other words, Horowitz has lied. Someone got to Horowitz and told him to protect the Swampland Environment or else -- and I ain't talkin' about the Swamp in my neck of the woods.
It's easier to find a hen's tooth today than it is the truth.

Didn't take Trump long...

President Donald Trump on Friday savaged his Justice Department's watchdog report on the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation as a “horror show,” and disputed its finding that the bureau’s management of the high-profile case was not influenced by political bias.
“The report, the IG report was a horror show. I thought that one sentence of conclusion was ridiculous,” Trump said during an unannounced interview with Fox News on the North Lawn of the White House. “The end result was wrong. There was total bias.”

OK you got me.
Michael Horowitz is not an honorable man.
He is just another Obama anti-America, connected, Harvard-educated lawyer.
Along your thinking, he must be a virulent Trump hater too, which also makes the hate Trump bashers along with the criminal element of the FBI/CIA, plus the idiots in real life, very, very happy.
Horowitz did mentioned all the crimes by the FBI, neutered in protection-language nonetheless, but crimes anyway. Why didn't you ever show concern that the FBI/CIA were looking to frame a President of the USA?
You didn't care just like you didn't care that Hillary sold US treasure to Russia for campaign cash; that Obama sold out the USA with his Iran deal, and countless other un-American activities. Never a word ...
None of that never ever got you to admit that they were wrong, wrong not only in breaking the law literally, but being in violation in the spirit of the law. Never a word of criticism of them.
This has said alot about what you're made of -- what you what you lack.
PS--I know Horowitz from a previous life, mine and his. He has always conducted himself in an honorable, ethical manner. Unlike others educated at Harvard and Yale, especially those named Clinton, Obama and Rosenstein, to be name but a few.
elysiantraveller, I also expected his IG report to be watered down, which it was. I will not read the entire IG report but of what I've read so far, I could live with it.

Why can you never stay on topic?
We can discuss all of that in their respective threads.
I was just asking you to clarify since it appeared to be a blatant contradiction.

Some things of note pertaining to this thread:
1. "executive summary" and " conclusions" in the OIG report are not written by the OIG. They were written by Wray and most likely Rosenstein.
2. This report is the "public" report. President Trump and a few others have the Classified report.
3. This report has been designed to protect those who have flipped.
4. Report is not about whether Clinton broke the law but about the FBI exoneration of her.
5. The OIG's job is not to recommend indictments but to present facts that others (DOJ or in this case more importantly Huber) can use to decide what course of action to take. There is plenty of info in this report that will lead to indictments.
6. This report was not intended as a stand-alone report. It will dovetail into other ongoing OIG reports.

Point number 1 is very important, which could largely account for its "whitewashed" (sanitized), mundane-sounding content.
