Probably just place a 6 month arms embargo on them or something like that... Then go back to business as usual... it would grind their Yemeni campaign to a halt. Or some other slap on the wrist.

As far a the Saudi's resisting or retaliating in any way... no... not happening.

Because after exhausting all other options he will do the smartest and simplest one like he should have at the beginning.

The Khashoggi killing, ugly as it was, is only a crisis in the minds of the media.
It has nowhere near the equivalence of the Benghazi attack in international importance.
It is a Saudi-Turk problem, not America's.

No. You were unable to see that it is mainly a Saudi Domestic Affair.

We should turn that consulate into a parking lot.

Really?
Declare war on Turkey?
I think not.

This issue comes down to Trump and the conflicts of his presidency
with his business interests. How can we get an impartial decision here?
Nothing short of a disgrace.

Thinking for one moment that we have to humor the Saudis is a
very sad reflection on this country, and those who would forgive easily.

Don't believe that Obama would not have taken swifter and more meaningful action.
He would not be compromised like Trump is, added to the fact that
the victim is an American with a family in mourning. Obama would be reacting
to the human issues here - not any short term effect on our balance sheet.

Puhleese. Have respect for the soldiers that died in that horrific war.
It's sad that you don't have any historical awareness how the death of one man in 1914 brought about the deaths of millions. That's very sad.

Yeah... no.

Obama would have placed some embargo's or restrictions on Saudi's for a bit and talked real tough.

Which is what Trump should also be doing.

Trump can still do those things too... Trump's biggest problem is he just can't shut the **** up.

Most replies do not suggest a specific US response. This is serious what obviously occurred.

I remember this incident in the URL below and folks knew Captain Bonifas from him teaching Mathematics.

The U.S. and North Korea almost went to war over a single poplar tree in the demilitarized zone

The number of ways we can mess with the Saudi's is basically limitless.

Its doubtful though that we'll do anything major. Most likely some investment cancellations, delay delivery on arms, seize a couple of assets or something like that. We'll also give them a very mean warning.

Despite what other goofballs say we don't really have a choice. You can't loudly execute a well known and connected individual and expect the United States to give that sort of behavior tacit approval.

POTUS BANS Goldman Sachs and America's other Investment Bankers from
" supporting or participating in" Saudi Arabia's impending IPO for ARAMCO,
the largest IPO in the history of the world.

May I suggest honoring Jamal Khashoggi with a monument?
The Mexican/American Border Wall. He will not be forgotten.

And make Saudi Arabia pay for the wall!!!
