Just going to watch. Nyquist won three G1, the one to beat.

I think that the post draw plays a role.
Mohaymen is piloted by the Wizard-of-one-turn,- Junior Alvarado, who may be forced to adopt the wait-n-wide approach (asking for tactical position from the gate is very risky here in terms of potential wasted energy).
Mohaymen's huge middle-moves aren't going to be as easy in a 9F race with a good pace.
I don't have any questions about Nyquist's stamina. I think he saves a couple lengths ground/energy and gets 1st meaningful run (perhaps behind a faltering wrong-lead Jorge Navarro miracle claimer?).

Win= Nyquist (Mohaymen may well eat him up in the stretch, but these both appear to be Grade 1 horses and Nyquist may have a few lengths advantage today from post and race shape).
Longshots:
Chovanes = Hit-or-miss type with a good price. Only longshot with a chance to win outright. He'd have to change leads. Dangerous to hit the board in a speed favoring race. Most likely fails to change leads and falters badly in stretch.
Fellowship = Obvious underneath type, draws a good post, excellent chance to save ground and run a legit 3rd. Needs help to run 2nd and needs a lot of help to win.
Majesto = Allowance type, figures to get a great trip, Castellano will ride him like he rides a Pletcher favorite, only this time he'll be trying for a smooth, strong 3rd. Needs help to finish better than 3rd.
most likely = / /
'Bomb' = / /
my bet =

The 1 is kind of interesting but I think his last race was more of a show of his affinity for poly rather than talent. I don't see him improving much but he wouldn't have to to hit the board here. Still like others better.

Yes I do.
None of the horses other than Chovanes has any chance if and/or runs their typical race and doesn't face catastrophic trouble.

Because of the $1 mil bonus, Nyquist wants this more. High 5:
4 / 9 / 2,3,7 / 2,3,7,10 / 2,3,7,10

They have a triple your wager payout on Nyquist & Mohaymen for the KD.
If you bet either or both today in the Fla derby & it wins, & then goes on to win the KD, you get triple the odds.

Best East - West match up since Sunday Silence and Easy Goer! Great for racing, but by my eye you got to go with WEST!

East. Not a shadow of doubt about it.

Wow what a card. I haven't made a wager since the 8th race! And that's it for this one. Hit the 6th with plus exacta and that's all folks! The race here is entertainment enough
