TVG today

Biggest racing day of the year to date and their coverage is absolutely brutal.

Cutting to commercial midway through post parades at Keeneland.

Audio of commercials (I know it's national beer day but I'm not having trouble with my bladder)coming across during the running of races.

Todd Schrupp blabbering about how great everything is right up until The Commonwealth breaks at Kee.....and then......they go split screen with a MSW at GP.

I thought Caton was having bladder problems!
One pleasant surprise was that the audio kicked out while Todd was babbling.

That is Funny, I'm just watching from njbets/TVG today, don't need all that storm and stress and distraction.

Not sure if was the Ashland or the Wood, but during the first part of the announcers call of the race there was background noise sounding like someone was sending Morris Code.

Don't remember what channel I was watching but half way through the Bluegrass, just when Good Magic was making his move for the lead the station stopped broadcasting and went to the Devils pregame bull. By the time I got to my computer and got logged on and gained access to NJBets the race was over. I saw the results but had to watch a replay so I can see how the race finished up. It is a good thing my wife has gone out to the store. The choice of words I uttered are not meant for her ears.

In NJ, the Devils game was probably more important

tvg raised over 200k for disabled jockey fund

i believe that they deserve credit for that, instead of the constant petty complaints they receive from the bitter horseplayers on this site.I remember the belmont weekend show with frank wright and charlsie cantey was the only coverage when i just started gambling.

You mean the Golden Years?

The TVG talking heads are low hanging fruit - they deserve to be called out.

I don't recall HRTV hosts getting it. Maybe because they were all adults?

There are a few at TVG who are professionals. Simon, for one is outstanding. I actually do listen to him.

Todd and Matt.......OMG!

Matt is a fairly good handicapper, but he has a delivery made for newspapers.

I remember when the only place you could get stock quotes was the newspaper or a call to your broker, now all we have to do is enter the symbol into the address bar on a webpage.

Just because TVG makes it more convenient to watch the sport we all love doesn't mean they can't be held to a certain standard. Their coverage Saturday reminded me of when cable TV first came on board back in the late 70s.

Rich Perloff, Peter Lurie and Nick Hines are good.

Todd Schrup is unwatchable .

Perloff is good.
He actually talks about things a new handicapper can use, things they night not know about yet.
