Arrow Wynn

Anyone competing in the upcoming Wynn $200,000 Guaranteed Handicapping Challenge?

I had forgotten about this until your post. Yea, that's coming up in a week.

$2,000 entry is a bit steep for me with my current business load and time constraints. A grand and I'd probably go for it. If you are competing, please keep us posted.

I got lucky and won a full package (entry fee, hotel room & $500 for travel) qualifier at HorseTourneys.

I will do my best to update when I can....I'm not good at that sort of thing.

Was going until I threw out my back - 2nd Vegas trip canceled in a month.

'Ron Rippey, a past NHC Champ, took home the top prize and $132,765 total combined with day prizes in the Wynn $200,000 Guaranteed Handicapping Challenge, held August 1-2 at Wynn Las Vegas.'

Ron and his wife sat directly behind me. They were very nice and cordial. In case you are wondering, Ron is a pen & paper (DRF) handicapper. The Wynn paid out the majority of his day 1 winnings with a 25k chip...those of us seated near Ron found this amusing.

I had two bad days of capping and finished 61st out of 167 entries. I had a great time and the Wynn staff was very accommodating.

My only complaint; there is no leader board or announcement of what the leaders scores are. You have no idea where you stand until the end of each day.

Told you I suck at reporting.

Mike

P.S. Congratulations Ron

Love it. Especially with Pen and Paper Handicapping.

Thanks for the update, Mike.
