Another University Pays Big!

Ohio university pays $400,000 in damages to professor who refused to use student's preferred pronouns

A public university in Ohio will pay $400,000 to a philosophy professor who refused to use a student's preferred pronouns. The settlement arrives four years after the school punished the professor for not using a student's preferred pronouns. The legal team for the professor argued the university violated the professor's First Amendment rights.

Did the professor's employment agreement or contract require him to use such pronouns?

How many students did the school punish for not using the preferred pronouns?

I'm guessing that the issue of preferred pronouns is not addressed in the employment contract of this or any other employee of the school, or in rules and regulation for students.

Good luck on getting that into the contracts of any future employees, or into student regulations. Good luck on getting any good staff in the future if they push it.
