Again, how does it contradict Trump? Both can be true. Cohen may have decided to fix the problem on his own to protect Trump right before the election, and afterwards told him what he'd done. At that point, Trump paid him back. No knowledge. No admission of guilt. No campaign finance money.

Trump said he had no knowleddge of your hypothetical scenario of the pay off that happened over 1 1/2 years ago? He may not have known the day Cohen did it, but he must have known a few weeks ago on air force one.
