Sick Day

Took a rare day off from work today due to illness...part mental, part physical

Anyway - lounging around the house, coughing my ass off, running fever, body aches, all that shit...and trying like hell to find something, anything worth watching on TV.
What a wasteland...I must have 250 channels and can't find one stinking program worth watching. Aqu canceled and I don't really care about racing too much outside of NY.

Here are some shows currently airing:
Alaska State Troopers
Snooki and JWoww
Mob Wives
Pit Bulls and Parolees
Top Chef
Lizard Lick Towing
(f'ing what!!??)
Judge Mathis
Maury
(you are NOT the father... )
Sponge Bob Square Bob...or whatever

Only show remotely interesting to me is In The Heat Of The Night, pretty cool older show

But wait! There's a beaming ray of hope as I scan the program guide...

FA Cup Soccer...yes!
Bolton v Liverpool

My day is saved.
I feel better already.

Yes! I can watch soccer all day long. Daytime TV sucks. You and I should really expand our interests.

Bolton v Liverpool

Turned out to be a pretty good game.
Bolton gets a red card while leading 1-0 and Liverpool comes back for two late goals to win it 2-1.

They were laying siege to the Bolton goal for the last 15mins and got one around the 84th and then the game winner from Coutinho in extra time.

I tried watching that...and fell asleep during the first 10 minutes. Does it get better after that?

Hope you feel better. Netflix is good advice, channel surfing live TV seems like such a waste of time by comparison. Cable or Dish make you think you have 200 channels but by the time you get rid of the shopping channels, the radio channels and all of the other filler, you're lucky if there are 10 channels that you could even watch and then you of course have tons of commercials to sit through with those.

Sherlock the BBC show is excellent and is on netflix, each episode is about an hour and a half, movie length, only 3 a season..very witty show (B Cumberatch in The Imitation Game was excellent very good movie)

Gotham I have been watching as I can via download and that is great.

Also, POT recommended Satisfaction a while back, I've downloaded a few shows, watched the first two, it is a good guilty vapid pleasure..
