Inflation certainly isn't temporary. There has been inflation every year from at least 1960 through 2022 with the exception of 2009 when it was -0.36%. There will be more lives affected negatively by inflation than any ban on abortion could affect negatively.

"fighting does not make a man."
well what does, mostpost?
i'd like to think it starts with personal responsibility. carrying your own weight and being there for your family. not being a burden on society. praying not to avoid hardship but for the strength to endure it. teaching people to fish rather than handing them a fish. having some grit instead of being a perpetual victim. i don't see these qualities in most democrats. maybe you are an exception?

Dipshit Pelosi says Americans shouldn't worry so much about the rising price of food and gasoline, because that's not the real issue.
"It's not -- the fight is not about inflation. It's about the cost of living," Pelosi told CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday. Pelosi said when the talk turns to inflation, Democrats "have to change that subject."
Stupid is as stupid says.

After noting that only 7% of voters believe that threats to democracy is a major issue ahead of the midterms on Tuesday, Behar argued Republicans were not going to fix anything.
"The Republican Party is happy to let corporations never pay another tax the rest of their days, they will cut Social Security, they’re going to cut lunches for children. They are not going to help you, so why would you vote for them? And yet, I see that it’s very close, that people are not understanding what the stakes are. And I find it, I find it sad and depressing," she said.
How does anyone watch The View? I only see snippets when they bad mouth them on Fox. Whoopi and Joy have to be some of the most politically stupid people that roam the planet. Increasing corporate taxes fuels inflation as will giving them a minimum tax. They will pass it on to their customers, they aren't going to eat an increase in costs like Peppermint Patti said they should.
If a corporation doesn't pay any tax it is most often because they are paying out employee bonuses, profit sharing, 401k matching and stock dividends, etc, etc. Often those items end up generating more tax revenue for Uncle Sam than if the corporation kept them and paid corporate tax. To an individual those items often cause tax bracket creep. So anyone who thinks raising the corporate tax rate or giving them a minimum tax is a great is just plain freaking stupid.

That is why I have been a Republican forever, I like thinking for myself. Could you imagine being told to constantly change your thinking? Some of their flavor of the month crap is hard to keep up with.

I just now saw this mostly comment, figured one of two people would correct him. You were one of the two.
Inflation at this rate has a long term effect. For many seniors and people new to the workforce it's a cruel financial punishment.

Inflation is now in your face, some have to decide on money to eat or only paying half of the electric bill that has doubled under Biden. A normal person has to understand the media does everything it can to skew the narrative to make its top issue on what voters might be thinking. The truth is more than half of women are pro life, all the other voting blocks that the far left comprises push this issue. It is the single biggest reason that you people are going to get the bitch slapping of your lifetime in the midterms next to happen.

Hardly no one who is now running a monthly deficit due to runaway inflation
is going to give a rats ass about pro choice in their state. Most all people could give a crap about their fellow man when they are facing a personal threat. The masking showed that with flying colors. When the science of the month said masks only protect others from the wearer, how many people wore masks when no one else was around? Most 24-7 mask wearers thought they were protecting themselves.

The democrats have become the party of Marxists, extremist LGBTQIA, people that like to groom or mutilate minors, people that like to abort babies with a functioning heart and nervous system, and anti Russia war mongers.
All my friends that are formerly plumbers, mechanics, electricians, construction workers etc… used to be democrats. They have all switched. Many rural voters that used to be democrats have switched. Even Hispanics who typically vote 25%-35% for republicans are now probably closer to 35%-45% and climbing.
The democrats are basically becoming a coalition of various extremist groups all while accusing Joe Sixpack of being an extremist.
