I see law enforcement being abolished in the same manner as the green new deal being established. Its good bullshit for the left to crank up lame emotions, but the reality of it doesn't exist.
Actually, the laws in this country are already too sweet. If they weren't, Omar would have been deported by now.

The good news is that we can reimagine public safety during the transformation process. In other words, people that want to do this have no ideas on how this will be accomplished. Leadership without a clue.

Yeah, but you're forgetting....cops aren't legally required to keep working as cops...they can just up and quit..and many are going to do just that...why would any cop who does his job and does it by the book want to continue being a cop in this current environment? I know I wouldn't...I know of 1 NYPD cop who thinks this exact way, and is looking to exit (and no, he hasn't put in enough years to simply retire and collect his pension...he's just gonna quit).

Gun control - ANY gun control laws - are now off the table.
The only discussion left is when do we repeal ALL gun control laws.

Bang Bang.
Bring back bump stocks as well.

*ring* *ring* *ring*

"9-1-1"
"Yes, someone is breaking into my....."
"Our offices are closed right now."
"...but, he has a gun, and he is kicking in the door!"
"Please call back between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:30 pm"
"He is in the house! He is coming up the stairs!"
"If you would like to leave a message, please wait for the tone."

The Halifax Police went on strike in 1981. All Hell broke loose.
Then the RCMP came in a covered for them.

NYC police were told to stand down by the mayor in 2020.
All hell broke loose.

Police Department

Toronto, Ontario Acknowledged they have the same issues at the Tune up value of over Billion Dollars a year into the Police.
And the taxpayers asked what is wrong...

After they do this and then want to bring the police back, they should ask for a big raise in pay and benefits.

Question he goes right, no it's a reverse to the left, now he heads upfield for positive yards

does everything have to be polarized?

What if we
  • Gave the Police MORE money
  • Trained and Staffed Police to have an hour to peacefully negotiate belligerent idiots
  • Partnered (staff and financial) with the mental health industry and acknowledge belligerent outbursts from offenders, with the same mental-health sensitivity that we treat consumers
?

An 80 year old lady has a belligerent breakdown at a Beverly Hills dining location, and we sit an hour if needed, and talk her down. Contrary to public belief, there is still some human decency/morality.

A 30 year old low-income addict has a break down in St Louis, and we tackle, taze, pepper spray, choke, or even shoot, - should the belligerent offender not submit quickly.

It's a complex issue, with both sides of the coin having strong points in their favor.

They are defunding the police and setting the looters
free . City politics and bias has been exposed
They were supposed to help the police due to
The rise in suicide .
Things may get very heated and ugly .

Look no further than your southern neighbors for help with non-police enforcement.

Oh by the way the wall building is going along swimmingly your just not hearing about it. Funding is all in place but they are not making progress and contract hiring announcements.
