I know what you're saying, but it just seems that way. We are bombarded with media that supports this perspective and most here seem to surround themselves with that world. I know Democrats that don't particularly like all of Trump's stated policy goals, but don't actively root against him or his presidency. I'm in a southwestern border state. The idea that all Democrats are anti-gun and are pro-illegal immigration is simply untrue. There is a larger population than just blacks to appeal to. Shutting them out completely is the wrong approach, though, in my opinion.

I agree with you.

Let me clarify, I am not condemning all dems. My initial post was directed to a specific posting lamenting the actions of an evil man being validated by the supreme court.

I am stating it is not worth listening to the rank and file or the leaders who constantly spout the political party line, in every instance, as if it were the absolute truth.

There appear to be both down and up sides to this ruling.

The down side is that the Trump administration can basically
do whatever they want in the "interest of national security".
This is where I believe they lean and will attempt to manipulate.

The only bright light at the end of a dark tunnel appears to be
that countries on the banned list can apply for visas to the US
for their citizens, provided the vetting process is acceptable.

I find it hard to believe that, in the current environment, anyone
will obtain a visa from any of those countries to visit here.
Unless, of course, they have "inside influence" within the
administration - most likely due to business ties.

Doing it by the law.
I see no reason to thing that will change.
Visas are also granted every day - again, no reason to see any change.
Things ARE above board- now that 0bama is gone. HE started DACA, but Circus Court said Trump could not end it - that is what you call above board?

What the problem was, 0bama REFUSED to vet anyone properly - he BANNED anyone checking social media.

And things are so bad here, yet they keep coming and coming......

Maybe if the dems would put politics aside and negotiate the immigration laws, we would get somewhere. But the dmes don't give a s*** about immigration problems, the kids, or anything but the midterms.
