Paul Reubens dead at 70 from cancer

In 2002, after turning himself in to the Hollywood division of the Los Angeles Police Department, Reubens was charged with misdemeanor possession of obscene material improperly depicting a child under the age of 18 in sexual conduct. A self-proclaimed collector of erotica, Reubens disagreed with the city’s classification of pornography. His child pornography charges were dropped in 2004 after he agreed to plead guilty to a lesser misdemeanor obscenity charge.

In an interview with NBC News’ Stone Phillips, Herman said in 2005: “One thing I want to make very, very clear, I don’t want anyone for one second to think that I am titillated by images of children. It’s not me. You can say lots of things about me. And you might. The public may think I’m weird. They may think I’m crazy or anything that anyone wants to think about me. That’s all fine. As long as one of the things you’re not thinking about me is that I’m a pedophile. Because that’s not true.”

Was never a fan, and I have strong reasons. I am sure many of you are aware small children like to watch things, over, and over and over again.
Do you know how many times I have seen Peewee's Big Adventure? I think of all the characters I have suffered watching while keeping an eye on children I despised Pewee the most, Barney completes the exacta.

that child porn charge could be bogus ... the age of some porn stars even 'fooled' the government. Traci Lords had a US passport saying she was old enough when she actually was not for all but her last porn film.

There should be different categories of pedophilia charges. I can imagine there are plenty of girls under 18 that could pass for 18. I ran across a few of those myself in my time, look at Brooke Shields at 15. An 18 year old caught with Brooke Shield at 15 should not be treated like a gown man showering with a 6 year old. I realize some guys find out someone is underage, while shocked that does not deter them, those guys deserve to get in trouble.


If you had some guy who ends up picking up a minor with a false I.D. at a club, I don't think that guy should get hung out to dry for that. If two people are intoxicated, why does the guy still bear the brunt of the law. Personal experience, I never ended up going to pick up a minor whose number I got at a club, but I sure met a few and they appeared way different than I remember.
