Thank you sir

After scratches, there were nine survivors - and only 3 of those earned Platinum Power Numbers:

TIZZARUNNER
DR. EDGAR
MOROCCO

They ran 1-2-3. The remaining six without Power Numbers finished out.

Nice hit Greg with the 2 in race 7. FYI he was second ranked in EPWR.

Turfblast third ranked hit the 5th, 9th and 10th races.

The biggest hit was the 12 in race 10 at $27.20

How is this relevant??

Do you play the 3rd ranked Turfblast horse every race??

You can cherrypick every category for a winner.

I've always tried to avoid tracks with a lot of turf races...my motto was "there are plenty of tracks I LIKE" and take my pick of the tracks I did well at.

For now, 3 or 4 tracks are the only game in town. I'll be glad when GGF, Del Mar, Turf Paradise, Belterra, etc open again.

We should do well at Oaklawn (and maybe some of you do), but RECENCY is part of my Power Number, and too many horses there are coming off a layoff,or no early speed for my liking. Also, I'm positive, without even checking--I've lost my @$$ there.

Sooo..I just don't play it.

Awesome job. Someone who actually makes selections.

You are one of the best handicappers on this site

Tampa BEST-FIVE Consensus Results

Thanks BS...I'm flattered, never saw you give anyone a compliment before.

The reason my compadre was talking about horses ranking 3rd in Turf Rating on the previous page...anything below 3rd and horses get no credit for Turf Ranking. Doesn't mean they can't win--it just adds to the horses wagering appeal (along with whatever else the horse has going for him)

This BEST-FIVE consensus is designed to give the user 3 solid contenders to use as they wish.

Good Luck

Wrong

Winners aren’t what it’s all about ,making $$is what it’s all about.

True...I went a solid week (not long ago either) without cashing a single bet. None! So I took a break, wondering if I should just seriously get out of horse betting.

But I slowly came back...and wondered why I don't have the confidence to withstand a prolonged slump. I guess taking a break is the best thing to do.

I'm ashamed to say this now--but when I was younger I couldn't buy a winner for a prolonged period. So what did I do??
I DOUBLED MY BETS!!...UNTIL MY BANKROLL RAN OUT.

I wasn't married at that time, so once my cash was gone--that was it. I was done, until I could get some semblance of a betting fund together, since I had no savings.

The only positive of that--I had plenty of time to study Racing Forms, etc. I even tried reading that Ziemba book, but my God, that was like trying to read "War and Peace"

It did find some use as a doorstop.
