China has announced that it will exclude imports of US soybeans, pork and other farm goods from additional trade war tariffs, opening the door for significant purchases of agricultural products.
The official Xinhua News Agency reported on Friday that China’s National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce made the exemption in response to the US’ decision of postpone an increase in the tariff rate on $250 billion of Chinese goods from October 1 to October 15.

China needs the food. Also, China owns Smithfield foods, the largest producer of U.S. pork. China put tariffs on its own agricultural products  . I guess they realized their mistake.
China has devalued its currency, prioritized food purchases over raw goods purchases, cut their industrial purchases from Germany and France, hurting the EU economy, and is watching its own economy shrink, while its finacial markets decline.
Tariff wars are easy to win.

I too am glad to see our friend Reckless posting again, am with Trump 100% on inflecting pain on China. They are hemorrhaging and others are feeling some pain. They have vast numbers of new construction with most not able to afford living in the new buildings. I could care less if they bleed out. I say screw them and no 5G goldmine of our information, and would prefer to see them wiped off the map if they continue to export Fentanyl killing our young.
