I liked the track and town a lot. It looks like Oaklawn is going to be a major success story with the casino absolutely hopping and now growing. I also like their unique show wagering bonus.

I also ran into CJ and his wife. Good to see them again.

The only thing that will prevent me from going a lot more often is no direct flights out of NY. I'm not a big fan of airports (the flying itself is no issue) and making plane changes etc.. So it's going to take a special race to get me there again soon, but I will be back.
Glad you had a good time. Ohio club is extremely affordable, not a lot of seating and within walking distance of many hotels. I'm going down for the Arkansas Derby weekend-looking forward to it. I like going up the steps outside to watch the races-its a good view. Improbable losing cost me the pick 5 and the cross country pick 5

Tough beat. IMO, he was clearly best. He got ridden like he was Forego or Kelso and couldn't lose. He lost a lot of ground on both turns.

I had the exacta with him on top of the winner and nothing the other way. It didn't cost me as much, but it cost me too.

I got burned in both Rebels the same way. I almost always make a backup wager in those situations to at least get my money back. Oops.

The trip certainly cost Improbable but it's not like he's not gonna have a dozen more horses to contend with (and perhaps a bad post), a potential hotter pace, and an extra panel and a half in Kentucky. I'm giving him some benefit of the doubt from the layoff but I have one leg off the bandwagon given his sire after seeing that wire hook. I'm not a big workout follower however Haskin and others were practically drooling over his works suggesting he was fit and ready to go.

Good seeing you again too.
