A new trainer in New York to watch?

Rob Atras. According to Equibase , he hasn't trained since 2015, but had a fairly good record at minor tracks. Now is listed as trainer for some horses from Drawing Away stables , Winning Move stables and longtime thoroughbred owner Sanford Goldfarb.

Pretty sure he's Diodoro's assistant and the horses are running in his name because of a suspension.

According to Diodoro's website, Atras is one of his assistants and handles his Oaklawn and Woodbine horses.

Every running line says "previously trained by Diodoro"...there was no mystery here as dahoss points out.

I was completely unaware of Charlton Baker. Thought that was what this was going to be!

R Atras didn't do much in his debut at Belmont

Let's continue to keep an eye on him for the rest of the Belmont season!!!

Or at least until the Diodoro suspension is over.

I took my eye off of this guy and he has been having quite a season at Belmont

You are getting a 56.7% return per $2 show wager with his horses!!!

He had 2 bombs yesterday!!!

R Atras did a great job in terms of return on investment especially to show with Diodoro's horses!!!

Overall you got a 50% return per $2 show wager under his watch which was better than returns to win or across the board!!!

Even when you take out the $10 show number he had back in September you still got a 25% return per $2 show wager under his guidance!!!

Interesting to note, Diodoro has come back today with this today at Belmont!!!

1st race
#6 West Hills Giant

Let's see if Diodoro can hit the board with this one and continue the streak as 6 of the last 6 were in the money for Atras!!!

This guy is good, just blew up my P5 ticket in 3rd at Bel, the fave had beaten him handily last time but CB had the 4 ready to roll at the quarter pole. Must remember next time.
