Ever since his tweet that got him canned (unjustly) he’s been in a downward spiral.
His concept of LGR was great he just chose the wrong trainer.

Racing is dying so I don't blame him. Hell, I don't even gamble on racing anymore and rarely follow the happenings outside of the big days and stories that come up.
Vic's a good guy. He'll be fine!

Vic has stated it wasn't because of the trainer. Even if it was, it hasn't started yet so surely he could have found another one in time for a meet that starts in December. I see no reason to think he isn't being truthful.

Correct me if I’m wrong but you really think if Vic chose Ron Moquett that he wouldn’t have gone through with his LGR syndicate?
Diodoro has an awful reputation and the blow back Vic got on here & social media
made him go in another direction for now.
I hope he takes a few weeks to refresh and then find himself a new trainer and gets his syndicate up and running.
I for one would invest with the right trainer

Vic had already announced that he was done as an announcer, so basically all that was left was the LGR racing concept.
The trainer issue may have made it more difficult but I personally think it started as a bit of a spur of the moment idea that sounded great that involved a lot more administration than expected (especially when starting up) and given where the funding had progressed to a while back, was going to struggle to meet its goals. So it is easier (and probably prudent) to pull the plug now and focus on his own plays.

Vic can do better than racing. Hell, anybody who can handicap a contest like he does, call races with a real talent for it, will thrive.
Vic, start your own business and work for yourself. I wish I had done it earlier in life.

I think this too. It's a lot of work and I suspect the money came in before the admin structure was fully set up, legally and accounting-wise.

Yeah, I can imagine many trainers would like to see a group with liquid, what did he say he raised already, over $250k? Trainer would know bills would be paid and the group would be run by a bona fide.

It is weird that you use my name when you are anonymous. CJ is fine here since you don't know me.
All I said was he could find a new trainer. He is moving to California so the syndicate would seem dead to me. Who is going to invest there where purses are like 1/2 of Oaklawn?

It's disconcerting, right? I feel the same way.
BTW, you can call him Mike if it makes you feel any better.
