Did the series get any better after the first season? I barely could sit through it. Afterwards, I tuned the series out.

I think it did. They did take a long time to develop the characters. Maybe too long. But last season was good, IMO. Jimmy is transforming into Saul.

If you did not like the first season I would be surprised if you liked the subsequent seasons a whole lot more. It isn't like they started solving crimes with crazed drug lords and big plot twists. It's still a pretty slow show, but I enjoy it regardless.

Slow is right. For me, a story has to move at a good pace to keep my interest, otherwise I get bored easily. I will take a pass on the other seasons.
Thanks for the update, gents.

I like the show a lot and will be watching.
For me, the relationships between Jimmy and his brother,
plus Jimmy's fixer character Mike Erhmantraut, are the
most interesting subplots.
Fun show

Was a pretty good episode although i forget exactly why Mike was doing what he was doing unless it had no earlier tieback. I should at least skim through the past season if I ever find the time.

Mike stole about $250K from Hector Salamanca (the truck heist in the desert), and he approached Gus to help him launder it.
Gus gave Mike the title of "security consultant" at Madrigal Electromotive (the parent company of Gus' Los Pollos Hermanos restaurants), and that's the company Mike's money is being laundered through.
After receiving his first "paycheck" from Madrigal, Mike decided to earn it by actually doing a security evaluation of the company..
