The lead-in Doubles from the previous race are usually a tip-off to who goes off favored at Finger Lakes, but it's not 100% accurate.

They went a little overboard on that

4/5??
That's one of those things, that unless you hate the or love the you can't really take advantage, because it's the latest money that makes all the difference.

Some of these Finger Lakes cards on days where major tracks are dark (like a Monday) have been pretty cool with the late pick-4 (and sometimes the pick-5 as well), offering decent field-size and fair payouts.

Today's card had poor field-size offerings, but a bunch of prices came through and the payouts were really nice. It was a good card for loyal fans of the circuit, if they happened to notice a couple false favorites.

Five minutes to post, the track puts up the first set of numbers to get people to bet on the . At post they put up the second set of numbers to get people to bet on the . During the race they put up the real numbers.

When the bulk of the money comes from simulcast/adw, and the batches only process every minute, you're going to see some strange pool adjustments. It's not the track doing anything imo. I wish we could come to agreement as horse players that the tech should be upgraded and pools get updated immediately after a bet is made rather than looking back and screaming 'fix' because the technology is archaic

it must have been caused by a couple of confused 'Sartins' betting two horses to win.....
