Belmont race 8

Anyone wanna tell me if there is any reason I should bet Belmont anymore. Looked like 1 had it wrapped up until Castellano decided to blantantly pull the 1 up. Just looking for someone to tell me that wasn’t complet cheating

I would hope the Stewards would be talking to him on this one. They had the horse ambulance out after that race, but I didn't see anything other than he stopped riding his mount.

Everyone on set at Fox Sports says he took a bad step.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that Javier just decided to stop riding his mount, who was winning a Gr3 race with 50yds to go.
He obviously felt something and thought it not prudent to persevere with a horse who may have injured itself.
He may have saved the horses life....the horse ambulance wasn't called out for
nothing!

Horse took a bad step, or switched leads awkwardly in deep stretch. Rider did the right to steady him - he was out of rhythm with the horse. Could easily have gone down.

Racing luck.
Not even all 1-9 shots win.......

Man is this disgraceful. How could anyone that has watched racing for even a moderate amount of time not have realized that horse was clearly in distress? The good news is that it's "just" a suspensory which does not endanger him, though he is done racing.

All this nonsense on the internet about riders cheating is, in fact, just that....nonsense. It is endlessly fueled by some ridiculous and baseless accusations. Instead of whining about imagined sins, people should just handicap and try to figure out the races. It's pretty interesting stuff and much better than dreaming up fantastical situations.

You saw the ambulance but still thought this? Really? You figured the ambulance came out to cover for Javy?

Wow.

I trip over armchairs occasionally and even I saw it!
There were a lot of horse coming up on him - it could have been horrible.

Talking about a bad ride is one thing....this is another.

I was surprised that went from first to fifth in last 10 yards, but something must have happened because also changed to wrong lead.

Just watched the replay, you could see the horse in distress before the wire.
Clyde's Image was caving in.......credit to Castellano for pulling the horse up.

The Reputation Rating nails it again.

I can't believe there are some people who think it is faulty.

I say it's a good 80-90% accurate in assessing the douchebagery of the individual in question.
