Well done Willp. 4 out of 9 is a pretty good hit rate. Try and pick singles for winners and live or die by it. Whether you play your pick to win or in the exotics the choice is yours. There lies the strength or weakness of any system. Try to achieve one winner in three tries. Remember if you are playing to win and you are playing even money shots, you need at least two out of three just to show a profit. If you are playing 2-1 shots you need at least one in three just to break even.
The notion that a 83% hit rate for 4 horses is great is an erroneous one. I can show you a system where a 10 year old with zero experience in harness racing can achieve a 90% hit rate for 4 horses and sometimes even 100% No system needed for that. Speaking for Mohawk track only because thats the only track I play, last night (June 10) the system produced winners in 9 out of 10 races. A 90% hit rate. On June 8 it was 100%. On June 7 it produced 10 out of 11 races. Is it good enough to show a profit. Not at all. You still have to pick the winner out of those 4 horses. No easy task otherwise you would be seeing a lot of 10 year olds living the good life. Haha.
More later.
