This poor, mismanaged mare
7yo NY bred mare, Sweet Baby Blue:
http://www.equibase.com/premium/eqbH...214®istry=T
27 starts since 2007, 1 Win, 1 Show, $13,190 in total earnings.
It's clear she never wanted to be a race horse (yes, she told me), but she's been completely non-competitive running at huge odds her last few races. So what do her owners do? The same stupid shit they've done her whole "career".. enter her in for a $16K tag when she never lifted a hoof in 8Ks.

The flip side to that is at least we know where she is. A horse with that record is not exactly winding up at Old Friends.

Which leads to another question...where will she end up?

She nearly pulled a 102-1 Belmont shocker in her '07 debut. Broke maiden at Colonial Downs for $5,000 tag 3 years later.
Other than those 2, and more recently..........awful.
4/27 had a $8,000 NW3 carded........but in for $16,000 instead.

Last again at 96-1, trailed throughout. Maybe putting her in for an even higher tag next out will do the trick..
Send the NY Bred to Finger Lakes and run in bottom claimers. Maybe she could compete. If not, turn her over to the awesome FLTAP next door, and on to her next "career"..

The owner/trainer is 7 for 249 lifetime (2.8% winners). I never would have given him stalls (assuming he's stabled at SUF). These types of trainers bring nothing to the table.

The only thing they bring to the table is a horse to enter. May help a race fill. But I agree what a joke

After showing nothing in Suffolk bottom races, the idiot owner/trainer entered her in an allowance last week, which she scratched out of when it went off the turf.
She then ran today, in for a higher claim than recent outings..
Went off at 117-1, short strides right out of the gate and pulled up lame..

Makes me sick.

This POS should be gelded.
What the hell are these tracks doing allowing this to continue?
This game seriously needs to take a look at the A holes that run it.
I honestly believe that racing needs to fall under governemtn regulation.
It is not responsible enough to be allowed to govern itself.
This makes PETA look good.

I don't get the acrimony. If it's a bad horse, don't bet on it. How is that hurting you?
Or buy it and race it where you think it belongs.

I'm surprised, Tom, that you seem to think it isn't regulated. But do you really want the state to micromanage situations like this?
