Breeders Cup tickets
I had phenomenal seats for the last Del Mar BC, but looking for some and wondering (I can't quite recall people scalping but I do think I saw a few) if these are very hard to find if you walk up on Friday. Anyone have thoughts or input? Thanks.

You can buy GA direct from the BC for Friday and if you are looking for a seat you can probably score one at cost or lower on the day prior or day of.
Saturday may be more of an issue but if you are willing to work it (check Craigslist, NextDoor, Twitter, Facebook, StubHub, etc.) you might get lucky both location and price-wise.

Anyone with a connection? I might just do general or cheaper tickets on Friday, and try to scalp a Saturday good seat, which I'll be willing to pay for, but stuff I've seen on craigslist, etc is not only ridiculous it's annoying that people buy/hoard loads of tickets to try and rip you off later.

Still opportunities to qualify for the BCBC at https://horseplayers.com/
This Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. You can sit in one of the tournament rooms if you get it.

Thanks.
I've noticed more tickets going up and think most people are getting worried. It always bothered me a bit that so many are able to hoard tickets and then try to sell them. I think the craziest thing is the people that have 2-4 tickets that are trying to make $100 on a ticket flip. People seem to go through a lot of effort to get a measly $50-$100. These events are for serious fans and horseplayers and we still get the hucksters invading, which is annoying. I guess there's no good way to stop it.
Is anyone else going?

Maybe I'll see you. The last time I don't recall there being any crazy strictness, though it was busy. I had a nice box last time and even on Saturday late people would come up and talk and mosey their way into it to get a high level seat, but we didn't mind. I even bought a guy a beer.
Getting in and out of the place was a task, though, lol

I'll be walking around. Am fortunate enough to have a close friend of mine who got 2 tables in the turf club for both days. Let me know where you'll be sitting and I'll come down and buy you a drink or two.

This happens for every major concert and sporting event. This is 99% done by ticket brokers. They swoop in and buy up seats then try to flip them on their own sites and the dozen other resale sites (StubHub, Seat Geek, take your pick). Very annoying but just the way the ticket business operates in 2021. It's why some concert acts years ago switched to formats where you need to show ID to claim tickets, can buy a limited number at a time, etc. (though I imagine COVID has shot a lot of that down).
It can work in your favor if these brokers overpurchase and have to dump seats late, though from what I've seen they're more willing to eat the loss (business expense writeoff?) rather than dump tickets at bargain prices.

One of my friends has a ticket for third level, stretch run area near the 1/16th pole for Friday only. Another friend has tickets for Saturday, but not sure the exact location of her seats though. If you want me to check with either one of them for you, then let me know.

Making my first to Del Mar and going to be there Wednesday thru Saturday, we have a couple entries in the BCBC. It would be nice to meet some paceadvantage patrons there. Send me P.M. if you guys are interested in meeting up.

Thanks, I'll keep you posted. Is that turf club nice? Is that the Clubhouse? I was wondering if it was easy to get outside once you are in it.
