It's closer to "this is easy, and we need the sport's leaders to take on more difficult things".
And bear in mind, it is very selective. Nobody suspended Bob Baffert when he made sexist comments about Jenine Sahadi.

fair enough
My main point = The ban was appropriate, in light of the public comments on social media.
No ifs, ands, or buts... We are in the 2020s, not the 1860s.
I see it more as an appropriate reaction, to an abjectly ugly situation, than I do as an act of 'virtue signalling'.
are there other, separate problems that affect the integrity of the sport? Yes.

Rolling stones.
So I guess the song Honky talk Woman by the rolling stones should also be band when the group goes on tour and by all radio stations and from all social media platforms.
The word Honky in the dictionary is a word used as a disparaging word for a White person.

And one relevant (IMHO) seemingly-perennial phenomenon that I think may be next up for scrutiny: the group conversations old-timers have reminiscing about the good old days of tying up a race, buzzers, stiffing, etc. on and on, on various forms of media usually around Triple Crown/BC times. The reminiscing is fun to listen to, I'll freely admit. But as the years go on, it's getting a little hard to deny that there's a connection to the times then and now.

The ban is appropriate. I don't deny that, and never will.

Yes, because again, that's exactly the same thing as what happened here.
I swear, the number of clueless idiots in this world grows by the day.

Luckily they have a huge library. Under My Thumb, Brown Sugar, Some Girls, are just the tip of the iceberg of the list of songs that, if they want to be the good boys on the block, will never see the light of day again.

I don't think that was ever their intention.
And it's Honky Tonk Women.

He was 3rd. I rooted for him. I like the new name.

What's the deal with him and Ken?
It's weird, because it seemed like the TVG peeps liked guillot from his days with partnering with the Sarge back in the days.
And even if you think what EG wasn't bad, the way he doubled, tripled, and quadrupled down on his stupidity on twitter, and wiped out any credibility he could of tried to have on this subject. He clearly targeted Ken and gave no farks.
