Yet he will easily win re-election in November. I agree that he is unfit to run for POTUS based on his decisions as governor, but there is a large segment of the population that has embraced his actions.

I would think just pointing out the exodus of citizens from Cali to anywhere else would sink a politician in normal times. But I guess if the Media shield is solid enough, anything can happen and probably will.

Gov. Newsom crushed his main opponent in the special recall vote. Plus, he's fairly young relative to other politicians and can probably persuade a lot of dumb voters on his looks alone.
Put Newsom against someone old, and his chances probably improve by a lot.
Newsom is scum, but there are millions here who think Newsom has done a great job. I wouldn't discount his chances if he ran for President.
