Seahawks QB Wilson traded to Broncos

News breaking out of Seattle tonight that Quarterback Russell Wilson is being traded to Denver and in return, the Seahawks are getting QB Drew Lock DL Shelby Harris TE Noah Fant along with 2022 1st Round Pick 2022 2nd Round Pick 2023 1st Round Pick 2023 2nd Round Pick and a 2022 5th Round pick

I am shocked that the Seahawks even did this trade but also not because it sounded like Russ wanted out of Seattle last season but never actually did anything about it

The AFC West now has 4 strong starting QB's Mahomes (Chiefs) Herbert (Chargers) Wilson (Broncos) and Carr (Raiders)

Funny thing is that Russ is getting traded to the team that he beat in the Super Bowl a few years ago

Hope my Seahawks can recover and find hope without Russ on the team

Last season Russ was injured a few games. The offensive line did him no favors. His scramble is just a touch slower. The Seattle weather sucks for injuries with wet, cool, humid weather during most of the season.

I hope he gets back to what he did before last year, he was exciting to watch then.

It's a SAD day in Mudville (a.k.a. Seattle)

FOR SURE attendance will fall like a rock: many a "12th man" will be gone.

D K will be gone after he is a free agent or earlier (2023)
Carter is already just about out the door.
Willl Tyler Lockette not be soon to join them?

And, this goes withoiut saying, COACH Carroll will be out the door quickly. Maybe even before the 2022 season sarts.

Just WHO will be able to take this icon's place? No one I know of

Denver gave up a lot with two 1's and two 2's, not even counting the rest. They must think they can win in the next couple of years in a tough division.

a bit crowded in that division. See how that plays out with the action and the officiating.

I like Wilson. He's not my favorite, but he's a solid, accurate QB.

Haven't even watched a recent Broncos game or looked at their roster, but you feel with a move like this that at least some effort will be made to play to Wilson's strengths and give him some weapons and/or playbook

Steelers sign Trubisky

Trubisky ?!?!?!

Seems like a bridge for a few seasons until they/we can draft someone for the long term (yes, I'm on their staff ).

Looks like we may be in store for another 'middle of the road' season for the greatest franchise of them all !
