I recall a famous author who once told me privately that he had not made a bet in over a decade but he'd keep writing books because that's what he enjoyed doing.

there were no 2nd and 3rd choice plays only top plays.
2 wins in 9 races $1 return $0.52
a play on all 26 favorites: 8 wins for a $1 return of $0.66
now. based on 252 race database, i'm raising the fav bet size to >=10 <=250.
that would raise this $1 return form $0.52 to $0.98
it would increase the return on my favorite plays from $1.19 to $1.27
in the range of >=100 <=250 there were 5 wins in 7 plays returning $1.41 on the dollar

If ANY of these so called Systems actually worked, there would be hundreds and hundreds of millionaires buying Villa's in the South of France and betting online from the balcony......
But Alas...........................

here is something that may interest you.
in 281 current races (32 races cards) the public, with no help from me  has a $1 return of $1.00!! should be something like $0.84
my play was on 69 of those favorites and they returned $1.28 on the dollar.
I'll have 300 races shortly, and if the trend continues, I'll calculate my formulas just as the horses approach the gate.

300 race summaries
$1 return on all public favorites =$0.95
My $1 return on the fav is $1.25, 43 wins in 71 races 61% winners
My $1 return on second choice is $1.18, 11 wins in 48 races
My $1 return on third choice id $1.10, 9 wins in 48 races
I don't have complete data for exacta data but there may be profits to have there.
I'll now post live races, using the tote board data as the horses' approach the gate
