Its one of the things that racing gives you so you can shrug your shoulders and chalk it up to "thats horse racing I guess".

It’s hard to discuss or fault...., other than the fact you can’t see it. No lights and when those storms roll in, it’s dark.

Looks to me like the 5 is clearly in front. If you can't determine the winner, you shouldn't race in the dark.

The photo finish guy is calling that a fraudulent picture.

If that guy works for NYRA then he probably should shut it, not sure if he does or a friend. Not really an argument for Twitter.

You know, there are these things called lights. NYRA makes bank on Saratoga. It wouldn't be difficult to install some.

LOL EMD4ME doing battle with him.

FTR I only had 5 in P4 which would later come in. Would have gotten a higher payout. Did not see the photo until this thread.

Having lights at the finish line would cause the horses to race fewer times a year, thus reducing field sizes.

That guy who took the photo is the run who misplaced the starting gate - he was re-assigned there.

If this is a real legit photo, NYRA needs to re-evaluate it's standard operating procedures. This is not acceptable - stuff happens, but it is NEVER acceptable.
Is the placing judge not required to sign off on ALL photos? And it would seem stupid not to have a second signature authority required to co-sign. So's you know who to fire when this happens.

I would hoep the losing owner would sue the track.
Could be a very interesting case.

So much incompetence at the track - guess you HAVE to laugh at it. You sure can't take them seriously.
