The Double-Decker Turf Stakes: Purse $100,000. Three-year-olds and upward. One and one-sixteenth miles, on both Widener and Inner Turf Courses. Horses drawing posts 1 through 10 race on Inner Turf Course; horses drawing posts 11 through 20 race on Widener Turf Course (maximum 20 starters, with up to four also eligibles). 3-year-olds, 121 lbs. The Non-Breeders' Cup: Purse $60,000. One and one-sixteenth miles (dirt). Starter handicap for geldings and ridglings three years old and upward which have started for any claiming price. Weights at the normal time of closing. Trophy to winning owner (!).

The Name Your Price Odd Ball Claiming Race:: Purse $50,000. Six furlongs. Three-year-olds and upward. Three-year-olds, 110 lbs. Older, 113 lbs. Claiming price $10,000; 1 lb. extra for each additional $10,000 in claiming price.

Survivor: Maidens vs. Winners: Purse $75,000. For maidens, three years old and upward, or winners with the optional claiming price of $25,000. Six and one-half furlongs, dirt. 3-year-olds, 121 lbs. Older, 124 lbs.

The Green Speed Turf Stakes: Purse $100,000. Three-year-olds and upward. Two furlongs, Widener Turf Course (starts on Inner Turf Course). 3-year-olds, 121 lbs. Older, 124 lbs.

I like it.^^^ Penn National one time ran a lawn tractor race with jockeys driving from the 1/8 pole. Place has gone to the dogs, haven't been there in years. Our local county fair used to have a pig race, with monkeys as the jockeys.

I'm pretty sure that somewhere in our past River Downs, presently Belterra Park, ran the "Daily Double" race with horses on the turf competing with horses running on the dirt at equal distances. Result was the turf horses dominated.
