At a 30% takeout rate for WPS wagers, the Mouttet Mile will be a watch-for-fun race today.

Funny that was never mentioned by the Fox broadcast over the weekend.

30% takeout is akin to robbery.

Amazing to have a 30% takeout and expect serious wagering to take place touting the Caymanas Racetrack

Where do you even come up with this? Who was expecting "serious wagering?" Surely this happened somewhere for you to post this here. You didn't just make this up did you?

It was a joyous day at a track full of people that absolutely love racing. Hopefully some of that came across in our broadcast. Our experience in Jamaica was incredibly positive in every way. I know this angers some of the maladjusted on Twitter. Yet another positive.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but they have a tote board, right?
If you know the odds, why do you need to know anything else?

The last time I saw people having that much fun at a track, THIS guy was at Santa Anita!

My point was the fact that it is a 30% takeout at Caymanas has no reference to ;having a good time'. The point being that takeout would have discouraged larger bettors from entering the pools.

That's not what you said. I responded to what you posted.

The point i made with my post was that betting into a 30% takeout with larger bets is not a prudent practice as the percentages are against you. The event was very entertaining from the telecast and i hope it grows through out the years.

OK, so now you have a new point, but that is NOT what you posted ( once again ). We can go around forever, but it won't change what you said ( not implied, said ).

So your point is that you didnt expect serious wagering to take place at the event? That's fair. It was my assumption by my initial post that there would be larger bettors that would get involved in the race, if not for the takeout.

So you are doing it again. You are completely subverting a conversation to support a lie you told. I’m used to this. I’ve been around a while. I get it. Doesn’t change that you did, and now continue to, make stuff up….likely to suit your personal agenda. I’m used to that nonsense too.
