server Down - Backup plan

For those that failed to load the page at my site (link below) due to the server at Horizon-Host.com being offline, I have posted today's selections at my blog.
http://zspicks.blogspot.com/

Just click the "Site Backup Selections" tab on the top right of the page. It will display the tracks selections for today's and tonight's racing action.

We just went back online yesterday and the server has been down since 9pm yesterday. Go figure

Hey Mr Z nice site. I'm with ya on a LOT of your picks for tonight's racing. Now that could be a good thing or not so good. Agree with your BigM longshot of the nite.
Take another look at R11 at Woodbine. The 1 Cole Diddy had all kinds of jamed up road problems in last. Comes right back and is listed at 8-1 on the ML.

Love that Cole Diddy Mel although i don't think we will get 8-1....my thought of course. What do you think of Bazilla in the 10th? The horse has had some tough post positions. I know the horse is going up in claiming but has, i believe enough to stay with this group. The horse has won close to 30,000 this year in 7 starts.

Hi Mel
Believe it or not, in the rush to ge these out due to the main servers being down at horizon-host.com, I forgot to add the race analyst's names prior to each of the posted tracks.

At the Big M, we got Kevin Schaffer providing the picks.
At Chester, Millard S Beatty III is the analyst.
At the Meadows, Richard Scott is dishing up the winners.

I handled Woodbine and Yonkers.

You wouldn't believe Allan (Hana) and I have been working on the last couple weeks...I glad we did, the technique of those posting charts from excel on blogs came in handy. That Pen v Chip is shaping up with two major and 5 minor sponsors. We got 7 contestants so far. Shaping to be one heck of contest. Look for Hana to comeout soon with the announcement...glad to be a part of it.

For those that have blogs, look into Skydriver at microsoft, you can load up stuff there that can be edited and posted for the public. Let us say you have a contest that will be updated daily. By each host site creating their own webpage but just putting the code for the iframe, there will never be a need for their webmasters to load up the new data. It changes in about 30 seconds from the time I would edit it at skydrive....makes the webmasters life a bit easier...like RSS feeds and the sort...

Hope that the server comes back online soon or else maybe I should just move it to the blog...lol

RTD--Happy to hear the good news about your site. Really enjoy it and thanks for the effort it takes to do it. Also looking forward to hearing more about the contest. Sounds like fun.

Beaucap--The good news I lost no money on races 10-11 at Woodbine last night. Both Bazilla and Cole Diddy got to much cash to suit me. Geez 5-2 of odds on Cole Diddy. I think the drivers of both horses moved way to soon. I will follow up on Bazilla and Lulus Boy from race 10. Take note of that middle half on a night the closers did well.

Mel:
The contest is shaping up..look for an announcement soon...planning on beginning with the Levy at YR on April 28th...

They are still getting sponsors (5 at present). The format and blog at Hana is done and if any changes are needed, it will require minor tweaking at worst.

I really hope the tracks and fans enjoy it. Balmoral is planning a promotion ontrack and Mr Trifecta has graciously offered to represent the contestants at that event (think it is Jugette night). Wold of loved to attend, but if I am out of town that time, it would be in Delaware Ohio..:-)

To Capper Al:
Thank you, I designed that site to combined my love of music, horse racing and computers during my recovery from my illness in 2002. Have to say it has been a pleasure throughout its existence, no matter the work involved.
