Horseplayer Monthly - September Issue - Free
Hi Folks,
It's here and free to download. http://horseplayersassociation.org/hanamonthly.html
In The September Issue:
We are going to get you ready for the meet at Kentucky Downs, HANA's #1 rated track. Lenny Moon gives you some tips on how to play the meet, Mike Dorr tells you how to get to Kentucky Downs and what to do and what to see around town if you decide to stay in Nashville, and DerbyWars has a Survivor Contest you might be interested in.
Also in this issue: We look back at the Travers, Horseplayers give their comments on potential US Anti-Doping Agency oversight of horse racing, Jonathan Stettin says horse racing is not dead, Neal Benoit speaks to trainer Tom Morley, Mike Dorr is back with a handy ten-point handicapping process and talks about the need for racing to improve the data product. Additionally, Vin Rogers tells you about the Theory of Everything, Rich Nilsen discusses what to do when you come to a fork in the road, Craig Milkowski from TimeformUS answers some questions, and we check on the "bounce" in harness racing.

Anyone playing Kentucky Downs should read the piece by Lenny. The turf course can be so specific and it pays to know the nuances of each distance, along with the trends that win at those distances.
Great edition as usual.

I always enjoy the HANA hot off the presses. That Mike Dorr is one of my favs, and I've been on Lenny Moon's e-mail list forever. Swear I didn't know that was CJ @ the In n Out. One of these days, I'm gonna have to actually purchase something from one of these guys

Some interesting content and it's free - hard to complain about that combination. Nice work.

Not just saying this because I know a couple guys there alert......
TimeformUS is one of the most interesting cos. to come down the pipe the last ten years, imo. Most of us who cut our teeth on hard copy can find it hard to change, but for those who have been dragged kicking and screaming to check them out they have been pretty innovative (they help my game, too). For new players who do everything on tablets or phones at the track, their real time interface with everything updated is an asset. I'm a fan of Mike Beer's capping as well.
CJ's been a go-to guy for the mag most issues as well, so that's been appreciated.
Mike is a guy I have chatted with for awhile - mostly on Social media - and he's a sharp young fella (everyone in their 30's is a young fella to me now )
