Typical.

In S Cal when I see a PP line from March, I know it's from the main meet at SA. If it says June, It's the big HP meet. Evidently the designations OSA & OTH were designed for people who can't read a calendar.

I'd hoped they'd used the O from Oak Tree and the H & L from HoLlywood, and made it OHL. Then we could refer to OHL as Oh Hell.

These name games are clearly not of any advantage to the wagering public.
Oh, sorry, I forgot. We almost never see a decision that is any advantage to the wagering public.
How can anyone wonder what is happening to horse racing?

Anyone interested in watching Thursday night or Friday Hollywood replays on Twinspires please make sure to choose Oak Tree at SA.
Guess they haven't recognized the change of venue.

Is anyone playing Oak Tree?
I'm not.
I'm playing HOLLYWOOD.
The whole OT thing is 100% meaningless to anyone placing a bet.
I guess the Oak Tree organization is a bunch of people without the credit to buy a track, so they rent one.

I can't believe what I'm reading. People are actually upset about the designation of a race meet because of data bases. The track is Hollywood Park, add it under Hollywood park, dummies.
Just because it has a different designation doesn't mean the track or statistics for that track has changed. Really confusing isn't it?

You have no clue.
For one, when you have a different code in your files, you have to manually change them all. You don't "just enter it as Hol."
Many program have track code built into them and need to be revised to take the new data. If OTH is not in the program, it will not accept it.
The real dummies here are those who choose to pretend they are at some other track than Hol.....OT is NOT a track. Never will be. It is a collection of dummies.

You can not blame just one man for what happens on the Left Coast, its just politics. But then again I am a Yankee fan who lives in New Hampshire who thinks Zenyatta should have been the horse of the year.
