Gmail and its uses
I recently set up a website and wanted to use google analytics. Unfortunately I can't because the email they are using for notification is my work email. I certainly don't want them to get notification. I've tried to figure this out but I am going in circles. How do I get my personal email to replace my work email as the administrator on the analytics program?

You pay your web hosting service for an email that is under your domain.
So, if your site was Soupman.com, your email would be something like Bob@Soupman.com.
It's only a few bucks a year.

Thanks Dave. That's not my problem though. I work with abccompany@biz I set up a personal web site that has its unique email address at mycompany@gmail both are gmail accounts. I want to track the performance of the website using google analytics. Google is using my work email and not my personal email to track the analytics. This means the notices are being sent to my work email. I can't figure out how to get them to take my work email off as administrator and put my personal one on.
Other than that...who is going to win the Derby?

Can you set up an additional Google account under an assumed name?

Derby is not my thing.
May try to change that next year. LOL
You probably have to open a new GA account.
I'll ask my lead VA, though.
[EDIT]
Forget all that.
Answer was pretty obvious.
change email on a google analytics account

Not so fast Mr. Schwartz...been there several times today. When I try to change the email this is what I get:
"The address used to identify your Google Account to you and others. You can’t change this address."
That's why I said I have been going in circles. Maybe it just can't be done. Then again....maybe if I delete my work email, set up the analytics with my personal email, THEN reopen my work email.
Stand by for a major cluster.....

A lot of potential customers might be turned off by a common free e-mail provider. Just a fact of life. I have a small machine shop, I internet bid for jobs. I have often been told I was picked over someone else because they had a hotmail, gmail,Aol.com, email, etc, etc, even though they turned in a lower price quote.

No that's not the issue. I have a web and email bobc@leasefundings.com and a website www.leasefundings.com The issue is when I had to set up my email on G-mail apparently I set the "administrator" of the email as my work email. I don't know how to change it. The analytics program is tied into the gmail system (I am old so God knows what I am saying in real techie-speak) so when the stats of my personal website get reported it goes to my work email. And that I can't figure out how to change.

Have you tried Goggling what you are asking here? What I saw sounds like you need to contact support.

That is actually against the CAN_SPAM act.
CAN SPAM act
If you send out an email it is supposed to be from YOUR domain.

Thanks everyone. I got it to work. Honestly, I don't know how, but it works. I could not retrace what I did.
