pump price 3.59-------stop and shop discount program brought it down to $2.29

today. i had to pay for my car and my wifes though, because she did the shopping! it was the first time i filled up my tank since august 1st, i also ride my scooter most of the time and was spending about $3.00 per week on that gas.

Here we go again.

Gas prices have crept up the last couple of months again, and are at an all time historic high for January. Oil is back over a $100 a barrel and is predicted to go higher. The elimination of the ethanol subsidies and the Iran situation are being given as major reasons. Many pundits are saying that four dollar gas is just around the corner again, and that by the summer driving season could be five bucks in some areas. America cannot afford four dollars a gallon, let alone five. If the economy is indeed showing some improvement, soaring gas prices may choke any recovery. Not good.
