i gave up playing daily doubles at the mountain after last night. i got sucked in to a great double payoff on the entry last night, and the horse that i thought was a layover got scratched after the first race ran. to me the ticket i was holding was worthless.

The 1A,Miracle In May was scratched in Paddock by Vet about 13MTP.
Did You ALSO Notice late rider change in 2nd? Pilares (30% Turf jock)
was named on #2, who scratched. Viola! Pilares gets mount on the
#4 that he had won on before (beating the straight #1),& wins again!

9th@Mountaineer ~ 10:20PM/et

9th@Mountaineer: 6F F&M Clm5000N3L ~Purse $8,600 ~ 7/16/13
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Class Dropper (also lone layoff runner) IMO the one to fear
in a Vanilla Non-3 Lifetime Closer. on Paper, a Paceless Race!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Cardinal Rule (5/1 ML)~ 3YO Steps up off solid win, & Beyers
say Rule major player. Closer needs pace, not sure she'll get it.
2) Play The Game (12/1)~ 6YO did little 1st time vs. N3L foes,&
won N2L condition in painfully slow time 2 back. No Game for Me.
3) Officer And A Lady (7/2)~ Trainer Moyers having a career
year w/ almost 10% Winners. Deep Closer must-use under.
4) Groom's Trial (8/1)~ Top connections biggest asset for 5YO
deep closer. Tri/Super Key? Needs pace meltdown for Win.
5) Abajo Sky (15/1)~ 3YO was D.O.B. in local debut showing
early speed + quick fade.May be tighter 2nd over oval. Watch Tote.
6) Shelby's Star (5/2 ML Fave)~ Yet to finish worse than 2nd
in 4 local tries, adds 220Y,& looks like LONE SPEED.But BestBeyer? 40.
7) Emily's Flyover (30/1)~ Flyover this 4YO, who's done NADA
since Private Purchase. Needs 4th/better to keep running @Mnr.
8) Kalik Kalik Boom (6/1)~ Lone Class Dropper returns from 210
day layoff w/Six Works in 36 Days! Has Fired Fresh B4. ((BOOM!))
9) Frisky Janelle (6/1)~ Career Top & Best Last-Out Beyer for
improving 3YO, showed more early lick going 220Y shorter last out.
10) In A Mellow Tone (20/1)~ 5YO has shown nothing in 2013
to suggest a play here. Too Mellow for Me!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Early Look: ML Fave holds Pace Advantage on Paper.
Kalik Kalik Boom looks VERY DANGEROUS off layoff.
"Give'Em Another Chance" Angle Players may like Abajo Sky.
Groom's Trial, Officer And A Lady,& Cardinal Rule all want to
see early pace from someone to keep Shelby honest up front.
Pick-6 Players using Steven Crist 'TicketMaker' Format could
try this for last leg.
A's: (6-8-9)
B's: (3,5)
C's: (1,4)
I'll try to get to the 8-9 in Late DD.
Good Luck to ALL, & See You at "Night School"!

8th@Mountaineer 9:55PM/et

8th@Mountaineer: 1Mile & 70Y. Clm5000N4L ~Purse $8,900 ~ 7/16/13
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Non-4 Lifetime often brings in shippers or class droppers looking
to score. Only Dropper won N3L for $5K Tag,so drop 2Nite minimal.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1) Calm Night (30/1 ML)~ 7YO an easy toss from Exacta, but note
3rd/4th place finishes @33/1 & 36/1 from rail two & four back. Super?
2) Barbershop (5/1)~ Four local tries= 2 Wins,2 fourths.Draws well,
but has to turn tables on ML Fave among others. Not impossible here.
3) Track Bully (15/1)~ 6YO moves from N2-6mo. to N4L, often
a slight drop in class, but here just a wash. Expect Run & Gun from gate.
4) Boo Dutton (2/1)~ Boo Blew By ML Fave two back, drops off
last start in Ohio. A Must use on return to Mnr & $5K level.
5) Country Music Boy (12/1)~ 4YO's been dull since closing 2nd
in Mud 5 back. Tri/Super Likely BCS, but move up if muddy track.
6) Regal Quest (6/5 ML Fave)~ Deserving fave just missed in
last vs. 4/5 Fave. Both local Wins Blowouts, but note loss to Boo.
7) R.Campfire (15/1)~ Private Purchase for 5YO that has been
able to fill out Super in 3 of last 6 starts. Another super filler?
8) Go Bray Boo (10/1)~ Solid March form when in N3L company,
4YO has had 3 Awful starts in a row. Vet Scratch 7/2, worked
twice since. No Go for me.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Early Look: Sorry to lack creative handicapping insight, but i'm
Chalk City, pairing up 4-6 in Late DD, P3/4/6. GOOD LUCK to ALL!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
