Charlestown race 2 Saturday Feb 3rd
In the second race the 1-5 fav with a large amount in the show pool never broke from the gate when the gate sprung and was backed out of the gate after the race started. Needless to say there was no inquiry and the race went official. Shouldn’t there have at least been an inquiry?

There was a Stewards Inquiry and the decision was for there to be no action.

Ok I stand corrected. I didn’t see an inquiry. It must have been very quick.

They announced it but did not put it up on the screen. I would have loved to see the look on that bridge jumpers face when that horse did not break.

The asst starter was kicking the horse before they even loaded the last horse. He probably kicked him 7 or 8 times. I know the horse broke very slow his first 2 starts. Terrible bridge jump

They expect a few losses when money laundering, still cheaper than Saul Goodman.

I think the tip off here is it is a Maiden CLM $12,500 going 1 1/8 miles, why jump a race like this when Roy H was in a 5 horse field?

There was a scratch and I think show betting was cancelled.

You are correct, no show wagering on that one, but still...

Yep, place, even win, would have been a better bet.
