Congratulations to Valuist, and thanks to everyone for participating in the Summer Fling. My next contest will be the Breeders Cup Contest, and, by winning the contest, Valuist has earned an automatic bid into that contest. Another exemption seat goes to Derek2U, who has been saying he had hit these races for real money. As put-up-or-shut-up, I gave him a seat. And, as is the norm, I'll throw my name in there. An official thread for entries will be posted in the coming weeks in General Handicapping, if you are interested in that contest, sign up there.

Best,
Bub's

Congrats to Valuist on the win. Very well done.

And hats off to Bubbles- Thank you for putting in the time and making the effort so that the rest of us could participate in a contest that was simply first class.

Yes Bubbles, nice going, and again thanks for only showing grosses rather than net payoffs cause I think just about everyone but the top couple would have been negative. I'm pretty happy about finishing in the top half of my maiden run in one of these, so watch out for me come the second start! All kidding aside, it was great fun and can't wait for the next one.

I ran like Groovy in the Derby...

broke slow, rushed to the front, dropped dead after 5 furlongs!

Thanks Bubbles

Thanks for running the show. Congratulations everyone
The contest was real interesting I enjoyed the chance to focus on those key races from around the country

It was fun. and I learned some things along the way too
I learned a few betting strategies and that if I just follow
the instructions for my handicapping program I would have
won a few more races

As for my results I started poorly
Made a nice move in the second fraction but faded

I hope I showed good form

maybe I needed the race for my next effort

My running line:

Broke in a tangle, nearly threw rider, made a move after a half, and hung late while others surged by.

Now what shall we put for Tom?

When do we get our checks?
We do get what we banked, right?

????????????

Why am I supposed to believe Derek bet and won all those races? OK, I bet them and got them right too (big, big lie) but I think that should also get me an automatic in for the next contest. Sorry to burst the BUBBLE Bubbles but I don't personally think it is fair he is automatically in without having to register. Big fight....I don't believe him whoever he is either.

I must be

I agree with Jinxed.. if anything, the guy should be excluded from contest participation - penalty box time for acting like an... well, for acting like he does... LOL...
