Wonder if anyone thought about this before Kennedy... Oh wait he couldn't have been assasinated, that's far-fetched..

Out of the past 9 presidents, 1 assasinated, 1 other shot at but lived..

I guess we have to be up around the 90th percentile for you to think it's not far-fetched.. get a clue.

Don't forget Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme

She pulled the trigger on President Ford. She was such a dumbass she had forgotten to chamber a round in her .45 Automatic. While she tried to chamber a round a Secret Service guy tackled her. She will be released from prison in Sept. 2005.

It's only reality if it happens. Like I said go review the office of the presidency. Not out of the past 9 presidents - all the presidents.

The average age of president elect is in the mid 50's. Clinton just had what quadruple bypass surgery?

Get a clue? Go look in the mirror!!

oh, being in the mid 50's makes you less likely to get assasinated?

Thanks for the tip..

Not sure about everyone here, but #2 scares the living shit out of me............

Man you really are a piece of work!!

Take Assassination on the brain & throw it away for a moment if you can.

We are talking about Presidential Successsion here not assassination. Now like I have on more than one occasion in this thread - go do your homework on presidential succession throughout the history of the presidency & u will clearly see what I am talking about.

If you are able to put your own agenda aside!!

I sure hope u don't make other life decisions based upon "what if" thinking.

sq,

So we have an orderly way of presidential succession, if both the pres and the vp were gone, the speaker of the house is next and it goes on there....here is a chance to get educated!

ok, why do we have presidential succession?

Because it's far-fetched for a prez to get assasinated, right?

One would never think that the long line of succession would be used...but prior to 9/10/01 most would have never imagined the next day.

With the line of succession, it is like battlefield commissions in the military...the senior person goes down the next person needs to step up.

With succession the premise behind it is to keep the United States of America the United States of America...regardless of what happens. It is better to be safe the sorry.

Think of it as a will and who gets the kids if both parents go....does it happen often...NO...but you do want to know the kids are taken care of when you are gone!
