Back before 2016, nobody would have cared.
But since Trump blew the brains out of a bunch of people, everything is a crisis nowadays.
Even some rich dude who says all he wants to do is restore a bit more "free speech" to a social media platform....it just triggers some people.
The same people who apparently had zero problem with Jeff Bezos buying the Washington Post... 
I guess Jeff is a "good oligarch" and Elon is a "bad oligarch," which is REALLY weird since Elon makes electric cars...and electric cars are the savior of climate...everybody's ideology is extremely fucked up at this point...nobody knows what the fuck they are saying or why.

Since the Twitter jerks now deem Elon Musk to be the most evil man this side of Donald Trump, why hasn't there been an effort to find another buyer for the company?
If Musk feels the company is worth $100 billion and is offering $52 billion or so, then it should not be too difficult to find someone to match or exceed Musk's offer.

I don't really give a shit about this whole thing either way.
If Elon Musk wants to drop $40-50b to buy Twitter just so he can let previous violators of their ToS on... cool... its his company.
On the flipside though I'm not going to be screaming "but muh free speech!" when a privately owned company decides to refuse right of sale/use.

When they're pressured to do so by the US Gov't (POTUS, his spokespeople, US Senators, etc) under thinly-veiled threats of further regulation, then you probably should care, because that's a direct violation of the 1st amendment, which a lot of people (including you, apparently), don't care about anymore.
