On my flow metric, MTH wasn’t as kind to horses near the front that day as it usually is. I don’t have good track variant data in my database, but it was interesting to see a track that fast, that on average gets a “minus” rating on my metric, get a small plus that day.

It was about a fast a dirt track as you'll ever see in this country. I'm not sure how he'd possibly do any better over a deep track like Saratoga. It was essentially a 8.7f race.

It was unquestionably a super fast track.

Not entered in the BC Sprint.

“I’ve decided not to enter Jack Christopher to race this weekend in the Breeders’ Cup,” Brown wrote in a text message. “It was a difficult decision, but it’s my understanding that the veterinary teams in charge of clearing horses to participate are likely to scratch the horse on or before race day primarily based on the way he moves."

That takes some of the fun out of the Sprint.

Will turn the late P5 into a late P3 for a number of tickets.

Jackies Warrior in the Sprint in the 7th
Flightline in the Classic in the 11th

R9 Distaff is likely a single for many as well with either Malathaat, Clairiere, or Nest.

I did not like the idea of Jack Christopher going 6 furlongs anyway, Chad can now properly spot him in the Cigar Mile, a race he should go off as a relatively strong favorite.

The difference is if he wins the Sprint, he is an Eclipse winner in addition to the Sprint. Winning the Cigar is fine, but they aren't remotely the same value to the connections.

I wouldn’t single either the Sprint or the Distaff. Hell, I most likely won’t single Flightline either. That’s how you get paid in this game ……. The “other “ horse. But you shot down your “single theory “ by naming 3 horses. So clearly you don’t think it’s a single in the Distaff . That has the possibility of being a melt down again. Plus, Jackie’s Warrior is definitely beatable in this type of race . The only legit single is probably Flightline…… if you don’t care to take a shot.

They could run this for a thousand years and on year one thousand and one people will forget that at least one or two races will end with shocking results. At the least! Every Year! The derby just had one this year. That’s why they run the race and that’s the true nature of this game . When I read about “sure things” it just makes me laugh at this point . I am convinced that there are people that never catch on to how this really works . In reality. You have to take shots at some point or the best thing you will cash is 6-5 .

Oh I know. But you clearly think money will be spread around in the Distaff. As do I.

Is Jack Christopher going to be retired or will they shoot for next year's big sprints?
