As one of the ADWs that I use, I have no issue with DRF having a "touch" on that $1. The money might not be flowing to horsemen/purses in the same way, but that "touch" is flowing to a definite stakeholder in racing. Is racing as a whole better or worse off with a healthier DRF? I'll say better. Of course not all will agree.

Great point, sir.

I agree.......and I have no issue if I am able to use say NYRA, or expressbet if I am betting SA, etc etc, I will say not every ADW is licensed in every state so the options sometimes are limited.

Also a good point. I couldn't use NYRA Bets if I wanted to, which is their decision. I am allowed to use most ADWs in Oklahoma, but not NYRA Bets or TVG.

This was followed by my quote.

My point was that DRFBets should not exist in the first place. Is there anywhere in the country where DRFBets is a legal ADW where XpressBet is not?

From the business side, $1 bet with DRFBets might be the same as $1 bet with XpressBet to the bettor, but DRFBets is "touching" that $1 and taking a fee for whatever value-add they are perceived to have. The result is that these two $1 bets are indeed different from a business perspective.
So by that token you'd suggest every white label ADW doesn't deserve to exist.

If that is true, then perhaps 20 or more ADWs would be out of business and I sincerely doubt their customers can all be expected to move their handle elsewhere, not to mention the loss of jobs associated with these companies. Besides DRFBets being a white label for Xpressbet. Keeneland Select is a Twinspires white label. There are many, many more like those two. They ALL add to the commingled pools and therefore to purses.

I recommend your ire be directed at the many illegal off shore sites which take bets from U.S. residents, don't commingle and therefore don't contribute a dime to U.S. racing.

Yes, that is my perspective. White labeled products offer nothing in terms of innovation to the game.

The actual underpinning technologies would move into the void created if those businesses were indeed profitable.

Racetracks are foolish for inviting a "partner" that offers no value to their table to feast.

Key word here is illegal. If that is not enough to deter individual bettors from using these services, what more can I offer? You want to bet the races with your corner bookie, have at it.

Yes, because racetracks have always been so innovative.

Nothing wrong with a fixed income… if it’s fixed high enough,
