Coupled Entries - huh?

what's up with that?

I thought they were history - a thing of the past

3rd race Aqueduct today has a 1 and a 1a

I've seen them re-appearing elsewhere too

sorry for the stupid question
I stopped playing NYRA a long time ago
coupled entries seemed to disappear everywhere I was playing a few years ago

I just happened to look at Aqueduct today

Not at Monmouth, second year running without coupled entries.

most states have rules that if the same owner owns or owns part of 2 or more horses in the race they must run as an entry. This may not be the case in all places. The same trainer can have 2 or more that run uncoupled but the same owner you will see 1, 1A etc. in most places.

Hey Half I had been tracking coupled entries in New York in another post

http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...Entries&page=7

At Belmont you were getting a 13% return at one point with 1/1A but I stopped checking I will check it for Aqueduct

As of January 1st, 2018 up until February 28, 2019 at Aqueduct on the Dirt if you bet the 1/1A coupled entries you were in the hole at negative -$6.30

I will continue to track it and include up until today on the Dirt but it doesn't look to be profitable so far at Aqueduct

I wonder what coupled entries do as a whole in terms of ROI relative to the favorite and the average horse?

Similar stats may have been posted on PA for past years.
