Looks like $20K won't win it this year....we'll see.

Your Day 1 score set bar high with $50 ticket hit. I was in the cheap seats at $5 level.
I just nudged bar higher yesterday. Weird start this year moving to inner track in mid-December and going directly into holiday hiatus. I assume that Dec 29 is next date. I am sure that this excitement will continue until day before Easter.
Let's see more big balloons!

NYRA calendar has racing open on every day until Wednesday. Hopefully we're looking at 4 straight days of RidersUp opportunities. Unfortunately weather isn't looking too good for tomorrow.

I don't believe Monday, December 31st would be considered a Holiday Day card but Tuesday, January 1st should be.

If Aqueduct does not have any weather problems, the contest will be open for participation on both Monday (12/31) and Tuesday (01/01).
Threads for posting selections for those two days will be created later today.

I see the annual 'which days are holidays' debate has begun. I agree with JAY that New Year's Eve is not holiday. New Year's Day is holiday.
It appears that Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday & President's Day are only remaining holidays on inner track calendar. And, of course, NYRA tracks are closed for Palm Sunday and Easter. Based on at least one source, Aqueduct should conclude its inner track dates on March 23 (Saturday prior to Palm Sunday).

It's quite unusual for Aqueduct to be open on a MONDAY and a TUESDAY.
It is open BECAUSE of the official holiday that is on TUESDAY.
We play this contest on WEEKENDS and HOLIDAYS.
Thus, I believe we should play this contest on MONDAY and TUESDAY.

Mike, Chris and I tossed this around and as Chris (Track Collector) was agreeable to score we are going to go ahead and include December 31st and January 1st as playable days.
In light of today's cancellation this should work out well.
